Antanas Mikuzis named to USILA Team of the Week

ST. AUGUSTINE – Flagler College attacker Antanas Mikuzis has been named to the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA)/Blatant Division II National Team of the Week as announced by the organization Tuesday evening. Mikuzis is the third Flagler player to receive the honor in the two-year history of the program.

The Western Springs, Illinois native broke the Flagler record for goals in a game as he scored seven against Shorter University in conference action. Mikuzis scored two of the Saints first three goals and had four in the first quarter alone. Two of his goals came a man up and he added one caused turnover. He took eight shots in the game, all on goal, and he added one assist for eight total points.

Through 11 games played, Mikuzis has scored 25 goals and tallied nine assists for a total of 34 points. He leads the team in goals and is third in points. Mikuzis has 13 ground balls and five caused turnovers.  

Flagler hosts Lander University on Saturday (April 15) in the final regular season home game at the Flagler Lacrosse Field at noon.
