Head coach Chris Feifs announced a group of four veterans – Nick Alviti, Jackson Canfield, David Closterman and Tim Manning – was chosen by teammates to lead the group in 2023.
Canfield returned to the field in 2022 after missing the majority of the 2021 season and made an immediate impact on the close defense unit. He caused 20 turnovers – the 5th-most in a season at UVM – and was also selected to the All-Conference First Team.
