The FHSAA has released their District and Region assignments (we’ll post the Girls separately) for the Boys’ teams and there are some interesting changes and a few major disappointments with high schools that are playing as Independents instead of at the varsity FHSAA level.

Cypress Bay is a major disappointment to me; they are the biggest high school in the state in student population and has a solid lacrosse history. North Broward Prep also moved down, as has South Plantation in the Southeast.

Creekside is back in with Ponte Vedra and Nease after one season apart.

One quirk seems to be in 2A in the Melbourne area, where there are only four schools in District 8, while there are some 8 school Districts.

It’s great to see Pahokee taking up the sport, which grew from the clinic put on last season by The Jupiter Christian and Benjamin coaching staffs and players!
