Byrne, Collins, and Reynolds Earn Academic Honors

AUGUSTA, Ga. – Flagler College’s Ben ByrneParker Collins, and Colton Reynolds were named to the Peach Belt Conference’s Team of Academic Distinction, presented by Barnes & Noble College, according to a release this afternoon by conference officials.

To be eligible, a student-athlete must 1) participate in at least half of his/her team’s events and be either a starter or significant contributor; 2) achieved a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) and 3) completed at least one full academic year at his or her current institution. The Peach Belt Conference Sports Information Directors oversee and select the teams.

Byrne is a business administration major at Flagler. The sophomore from Jupiter, Florida scored one goal, collected 10 ground balls and caused seven turnovers in 16 games. He is a two-time PBC Presidential Honor Roll scholar and is a D2 ADA award recipient.

Collins is a business administration major with a minor in finance. The sophomore from Charlotte, North Carolina had four ground balls and two caused turnovers in 15 games. He is a two-time PBC Presidential Honor Roll scholar and is a D2 ADA award recipient.

Reynolds is a finance major at Flagler. The sophomore from Lexington, Kentucky scored two goals and tallied three assists with seven ground balls in 12 games. He is a two-time PBC Presidential Honor Roll scholar and is a D2 ADA award recipient.
