DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The Embry-Riddle women’s lacrosse team had 15 different players appear in the scoring column in a 23-2 win over Davis & Elkins at the ERAU Lacrosse Field on Wednesday. The 17th-ranked Eagles extended their unbeaten streak to 6-0, while the Senators fell to 0-2 on the year.

A trio of Eagles recorded hat tricks on the night, including Murphy McDonoughElizabeth Ninesling and Sallie Squire. McDonough continued to rewrite the ERAU record books as her 11 points and eight assists were both ERAU single-game records.

The Eagles’ scoring started early with a goal from Squire in the second minute of play. After Zariah Durham doubled the Eagle lead to 2-0 with her score at the 12:37 mark, Emily Smith put the Senators on the board with 11:10 left in the first quarter. That was the last Davis & Elkins score for nearly 28 minutes of play as the Eagles held the Senators without another goal until the 8:49 mark of the third quarter.

Embry-Riddle dominated the first period 10-1 and held the Senators without a shot in the second period to own a 14-1 lead at the half.

The Eagles slowed the pace slightly in the third quarter which opened with a Samantha Reich goal. The Blue and Gold extended the advantage to 16-1 before conceding another goal to Smith, but the quickly reclaimed the 15-goal advantage and added three more scores in the third and four in the fourth quarter to close out the win.

The Eagles continue their seven-game homestand at noon on Saturday, hosting North Greenville at the ERAU Lacrosse Field.
