Ex Boca Star Giarratana’s (5G/2A) Double-Overtime Goal Lifts Manhattan To 14-13 Win

via press release – video clips are at the article (Author’s note:  I was watching some of this game and turned it off when it looked like Hartford was comfortably ahead!)   Excerpt: Hartford, CT – Sophomore Parker Giarratana (Delray, FL / Boca Raton Community) scored three unanswered goal to lift Manhattan to a thrilling 14-13 come-from-behind, double-overtime victory over Hartford in non-conference action. Trailing 13-11 with 2:27 to play, junior Joseph Bressingham (Glen Cove, NY / Nassau CC) won the face-off and got the ball to Giarratana, who quickly found the net just seven seconds later in making it a one-goal game. The Hawks won the ensuing possession and appeared to have the game in hand but were forced into a turnover. Giarratana made Hartford pay with the game-tying goal with two seconds remaining. In the first overtime, the Hawks won the opening possession and had every opportunity to earn the win only to be denied by Manhattan each time. Bressingham then won the opening face-off of the second overtime and following a timeout, Giarratana found the back of the net for his second overtime game-winner of the year. Read the rest HERE
