Breaking: Jupiter Switches Roles, Nick O’Hara New Head Coach & Dan Loftus Will Remain on Staff

Author’s Note: Wells Dusenbury is reporting that Dan Loftus has stepped down as head coach at Jupiter but will remain on the staff and long time assistant Nick O’Hara will be the new Head Coach. We have the link to Wells’ story.Excerpt: After transforming Jupiter into one of the area’s top lacrosse programs, Danny Loftus has stepped down as Jupiter’s boys lacrosse coach. Defensive coordinator Nick O’Hara, who has coached alongside Loftus for his entire nine-year tenure, has been promoted to head coach. Loftus will remain on staff as an assistant and emphasized he’s not leaving the program. “I’ll still be there every practice, every game,” Loftus said. “Nick [O’Hara] and I were like co-head coaches [the past nine years]. I just have to take a step back from some of the off-the-field aspects. I’ll still be there for all the on-the-field work.” Read the rest: Sun-Sentinel Article
