Young Harris outscored Florida Tech 3-0 in the third quarter, leading the Mountain Lions to an 8-5 victory, and spoiling the Panthers home-opener at Florida Tech Panther Stadium on Sunday.  It was the first win for Young Harris over a nationally-ranked opponent.

Panthers goalie Daniel Flock made 18 saves in this one and for the first 12:57 of the game, he held Young Harris off the board. That changed with 2:03 left in the quarter when Chandler Bradley ripped a shot by Flock and made it 1-0.

Just over one minute into the second quarter Young Harris doubled their lead with a goal from Hayes Johnson. The Panthers first goal came with 11:06 left in the half when Tajee Mobley took a pass from Logan Sweeney and put it past Young Harris goalie Sean Dever, making it 2-1.
