MELBOURNE, Fla. – In the fall of 2018, the Florida Tech Men’s Lacrosse team created a documentary to give a behind the scenes look at its fall ball season and program, titled “On The Prowl”.
The 2018 fall ball season was one to remember for the men’s lacrosse team, so they made sure to capture it. In the documentary you will see some of the Panthers’ favorite moments from the fall, as well as get a glimpse of what it is like to play lacrosse here at Florida Tech.
This project was completely driven by the student-athletes and is the only film of its kind in Division II lacrosse.
The film was created by current and former Florida Tech men’s lacrosse student-athletes. Nick Bailey, class of 2018, filmed and edited “On The Prowl”. Whereas, seniors Addison Abramson and Tyler Oblong were producers on the production. The film also gathered contributions from Charlie Morrisette, Will Bredeck, and Ryan Land.
Below are comments from men’s lacrosse head coach Mark Penn on the work his team put in to making “On The Prowl”.
“First and foremost, as a person that loves Florida Tech, I feel that this film showcases our beautiful University in an amazing way, said Penn. “The pride that these guys have shown in making this documentary, is exactly what we want to embody as a team.
“All of the guys really invested a lot of their time and energy into this project and it is evident in their work. This documentary really displays how much they care about their program and their school. It also shows how much fun they are having playing lacrosse at Florida Tech.
“I hope that people watch this video and see what an incredible experience our student-athletes are having here at Florida Tech. We’re all very proud to be Panthers, and this documentary is a vehicle to display that pride.”
