Why did you choose this college?
I chose this college because it felt right for me. I toured the campus and fell in love with it. I also want to major in mathematics, and this college has a well respected math program. It is also close enough my family and friends to come visit me.
What are your first memories of the sport?
My first memories of the sport are not knowing how catch and pass well, so my team and I would stop the ball with our body, then pick up the ground ball as if we caught it.
What part of the process was most surprising to you about the recruiting process and what would you like to pass on to those who are going to face it in the future?
The most surprising part of the recruiting process was how early you should actually start getting on the coaches radar, and the fact that you never know which club coach will be the one to give you the lead to the school of your choice. I would like to pass on that you should start early, choose a school that you love with or without the sport, and build a relationship with your coaches.
Who would you like to thank for helping you get here?
I would like to to thank my coaches, Mitch Whittington and Scott Gallant, who have always pushed me to be a better player and made me the player I am today. I would like to mention Coach John Ault for recommending me to what ended up being the school of my choice. I would also like to thank parents for always being there to support me, volunteering at my games, and taking all those steps with me to get committed. I would like to thank my siblings for always helping me practice and condition. I would like to thank Steph Englert for always giving me a ride to practice and being there for me. I would like to thank Liz Gallant for always feeding me before games and making sure I got my nap in. Finally I would like to thank my best friend Chloe Gallant for always making a better player.
