Why did you choose this college?
The staff at Coker (Coach Schwartz and Coach Oliver) was very consistent throughout my recruitment. They were always in contact with me almost on a daily basis. I also that it is not very far away and they seem to always play a team or two from FL so I’d get to come back and play in FL.
What are your first memories of the sport?
My first memory of lacrosse was running down the field with the ball looking for someone to pass to and another player from the other team came and laid me out.
What part of the process was most surprising to you about the recruiting process and what would you like to pass on to those who are going to face it in the future?
The most suprising thing about the recruiting process is that there are so many options other than Division 1 out there. The schools at the other levels are looking for players just as hard as the Division 1 schools and a lot of the times can show you more love. My advice to others would be to work hard and to never give up no matter what people may tell you. Just keep on driving #GHTSL (Grind Hard to Shine Later)
Who would you like to thank for helping you get here?
I want to give a huge shout out to my parents, my close friend Fernando Martinez, and my coaches starting with my head coach that supported me throughout my four years, Scott Rickard, also Coach Carlos, Coach Simmons, Coach Babyboy and Coach Adrian. You all helped me reach the next level!
