Why did you choose this college?
I chose Rollins College because of it’s beautiful campus, great weather, excellent academics and the networking opportunities with alumni. I am really excited about their business program and am considering the 5 year MBA. I am very excited to play for and learn from Coach Lewis and Coach Sweeney and be a part of their program.
What are your first memories of the sport?
My first memory of lacrosse was playing in the JTAA league when I was 9. My Dad was one of my coaches and I am still fortunate enough to play with and against some of the same kids nearly 10 years later.
What part of the process was most surprising to you about the recruiting process and what would you like to pass on to those who are going to face it in the future?
After we won the State Championship last spring, I was very excited to play in a lot of recruiting events with Swashbucklers last summer. Unfortunately, I broke my ankle the week before I left and I didn’t play again until the fall. I was fortunate to meet Coach Lewis after I was admitted to Rollins, and he offered me a spot after seeing me play in January. The lesson to share is to stay patient and remain positive! This injury also taught me the importance of picking a school that you’d still attend if you no longer played lacrosse.
Who would you like to thank for helping you get here?
I would like to thank my teammates at Jupiter, friends and family, and most importantly, my coaches. I also want to thank the coaches at Rollins College for believing in me and giving me a chance. One last big shout out to my 10 year old brother Ryan, who will 100% be better than me when he goes into high school.
