Why did you choose this college?
Academically, I needed a school with a masters program because I am graduating high school an AA degree from Daytona State and can go right into my major. A graduate program let’s me get my Masters degree as I play for a full four years.
As for the team, the culture is very positive and they have a tradition of excellence. On top of that, Coach Klarmann is a legend in his own right and he has an extreme amount of knowledge he brings from decades of experience.
What are your first memories of the sport?
In my middle school, the local lacrosse club gave a demonstration during my P.E. class and I knew I wanted to play. So I went home, told my dad I wanted to play lacrosse, and he replied with, “What’s lacrosse?”
What part of the process was most surprising to you about the recruiting process and what would you like to pass on to those who are going to face it in the future?
It is never too late to start the process. I didn’t start getting into the recruiting scene until this summer (before my senior year) and I had my choice of scholarship offers. As long as you put yourself in front of a coach, you can get recruited.
Who would you like to thank for helping you get here?
My dad took me to my first practice and has supported me through all the blood, sweat, and tears. When I decided to quit basketball for lacrosse and when I made my college decision, he was cheering me on.
