Written by Lee Roggenburg on . Posted in , , , .
via press release   Over the weekend, FAU Men’s Lacrosse headed up to Jacksonville for a set of games against University of North Florida, and University of North Carolina-Charlotte.  For the Owls, the three-team tournament was a chance to unveil a new team against dominant conference rivals, and an out of state powerhouse. Ultimately, the Owls fell short against UNF on Saturday, but came up with a big win against a face-off dominant UNC team on Sunday. Of the weekend, Coach Coco said “Coaches are pleased with the way things turned out. Prior to the UNF game, we had some travel set-backs that really killed our warm-up time and we missed a bunch of shots, but the looks were there. We can’t wait to get another shot at UNF. ” On Sunday the tides turned as the Owls went 11 for 16, and goals came by way of a dominant attacking force. Soph. Regan Griffith, Jr. Robert Seguin, and Soph. Logan Hearsey all put points on the board, while midfielders Seth Travis, Ricky Melvin, and Matt Rapaglia also scored. The Owls picked up 20 ground balls to secure the transition game. Be sure to support the Owls at home as they get set to take on Texas A&M-Galveston, Tuesday March 23, at 7pm.
