D-I Poll: Chapman Expands Lead
ATLANTA – Chapman grabbed three more first place votes this week to tighten its grip on the No. 1 ranking in the Under Armour MCLA Division I Weekly Coaches Poll for the period ending April 2.
The Panthers (9-0) snatched three of No. 2 Utah’s first place votes, giving them 20 total for a comfy, 21-point lead over the Utes (8-0). Utah still has six first place votes.
No. 3 Colorado (9-1) remained in the same spot from Week 6 after a pair of ranked wins at home.
South Carolina (10-0) leapfrogged Michigan State (9-1) to take the No. 4 position while the Spartans dipped to No. 5.
Oregon (3-4) left the poll this week to make room for No. 25 Florida as the Gators make their first appearance of the season after knocking on the door for several weeks.
