Congratulations to Kyle on his college choice and good luck in the future!   Name Kyle Johnson High School Melbourne Central Catholic Graduation Year 2018 College Choice Marymount University Club Affiliations Brevard Landsharks, Mid Coast Renegades, Shred Thread National, Team Florida Why did you choose this college? I picked Marymount because I felt comfortable on the campus and with my future coaches and teammates. What are your first memories of the sport? I first learned to play lacrosse at Marymount’s lacrosse camp in 3rd grade. Ironically, the first helmet I ever wore was a Marymount one, and the last helmet I’ll ever wear is going to be a Marymount one. What part of the process was most surprising to you about the recruiting process and what would you like to pass on to those who are going to face it in the future? It was most surprising to me that I was able to enjoy the recruiting process once I came to the realization that I didn’t want to play Division 1 lacrosse. For all those just getting into the process, they should know that it’s more important to find somewhere that fits what kind of overall atmosphere you want to be in for four years. Who would you like to thank for helping you get here? First I would like to thank all of my youth lacrosse coaches, without their coaching, I would never have gained the solid fundamentals of the game that they instilled in me. I would also like to thank Coach Hall and Coach Arnold, for helping push my lacrosse skill to the next level. Also I would like to thank Coach Combs and Coach Bruce, even though they are new to MCC, I would like to thank them for all they have already done and all they are going to do to help me get even better. I would like to thank my summer club coaches, John and Justin Kuebrich (Team Florida), and Coach Carey and Coach Foderaro(Shred Thread National), for helping me get better during the offseason. Lastly, I would like to thank both of my parents, for always supporting me and sacrificing so much time to watch/take me to showcases and tournaments, because with out them I wouldn’t be the player and person I am today. You’re both the real MVP’s.
