Author’s Note:  Player Movement is MLL’s version of Free Agency, although not quite free in most cases.  Players who have played 5 consecutive years in the League and have an expiring contract are able to file with the League to make themselves available for other teams to sign.  Compensation is assigned for most of the players as Draft Picks going to the team that loses the player.  No Launch player filed (Tucker Durkin and I believe Steven Brooks were eligible) so that is a very good sign for the team. Many of the players on the list are Rochester Rattlers and part of that is the uncertainty of whether the franchise will still be playing in the upstate NY city next year.  A number of Rattlers also filed last year but when this was first tested there was little movement as GM’s perceived the compensation to sign a player was too high to pay.  When you look at the available players this year you can see the compensation has been reduced compared to last year, making the available players more likely to move on. Discussions with the Launch have indicated that there will be interest in possibly making a signing so we will keep up with the team’s decisions as they are made.  A player can be negotiated with as soon as they file for movement and some of the names on the list were late additions the last two days.
