PBA Men: Sailfish Fall At #16 Queens

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Palm Beach Atlantic men’s lacrosse fell short in the final game of their trip up north, losing to No. 16 Queens 13-9.

PBA (4-3) fell behind in the first half as the offense couldn’t get going before playing the Royals even in the second half. Queens went up 3-0 at the end of the first quarter and led 5-1 at the half. In the second half both teams score four goals in each quarter.

The Sailfish closed the game with four straight goals as Zack FiguraJackson Miller and Kyle Savick all tallied their second of the game during the run. Savick was the lone ‘Fish to find the back of the net in the first half as he scored his first goal in a PBA uniform with 1:59 to play before halftime.

Miller became the first ‘Fish to reach 20 goals on the season with his second of the game late in the fourth quarter. Townsend BrownJordan Trowbridge and Austin Figas all recorded goals as well for PBA.

Queens took a 13-5 lead midway through the fourth after scoring four straight to open the quarter. The Royals outshot PBA 52-30 in the game, putting 30 shots on target. Ben Savick recorded 17 saves for PBA.

PBA is back in action on Saturday as they return home to take on Emmanuel at 2 p.m.
