via Saint Leo press release   BOX SCORE SAINT LEO, Fla. – The Saint Leo Lions clinched a 14-13 double-overtime battle against the Seton Hill Griffins Wednesday night under the lights at University Turf Stadium. The electrifying win extended the Lions perfect season record to 5-0. Seton Hill’s overall record moved to 1-2. Mackenzie Cotter caused a turnover and picked up the ground ball to leave 37 seconds left on the clock, just enough time for the Lions to use a timeout and set up a play. The Green and Gold moved the ball flawlessly, finishing with a Leslie Ferguson equalizing goal, 13-13. Three possessions came and went as the teams needed a second overtime period. Ashley Salvett won the draw control while being on the receiving end of a foul. The possession set up Janee DeLuca’s game-winner, her fourth goal of the game, 18th goal of the season. “This is another big and exciting win for us,” exclaimed head coach Caitlin Hansen. “We struggled on the draw tonight but Ashley came up big for us in overtime! We saw big offensive days from Janee and Leslie.” Leslie Ferguson became the second person in program history to reach the 100 goal career mark.
