Author’s Note:  FLN has tasked contributor Allie Modica to research and write a feature story on Erin Bakes of Ransom Everglades, ranked FIFTH on this list . . . I have to admit that I knew very little about Erin and after watching her recruiting video I was stunned that such a talent was virtually undiscovered by us right under our nose.  Look forward to Allie’s feature in the near future!
Excerpt: North Carolina bound Elizabeth Hillman (Bel Air, Md.) headlines the crop of 2018 talent.

In the spring of 2016, Hillman said her final goodbye to North Carroll (Md.), as the high school closed its doors and the town was redistricted. While former teammate Tayler Warehime (North Carolina ’22) made the move to nearby Manchester Valley, Hillman landed at Bel Air, where she hit the ground running. The Bobcats captured Maryland’s 4A/3A state championship against Severna Park, 10-9, in 2017. The UNC-bound midfielder tallied 26 goals, 17 assists, 53 groundballs and 72 draws as a two-way force for the state champions.
