SAINT LEO, Fla. – The No. 16 Saint Leo Lions dominated the receiving votes (RV) Georgian Court Lions, 24-8, Saturday afternoon at University Turf Stadium. The Green and Gold’s confident win was led by senior attacker Charlie Kurtenbach with 10 points; scoring six goals and four assists. He also added five ground balls and a caused turnover to his standout performance.
No. 16 Saint Leo (3-2) dished out 68 shots with 12 different goal scorers. When Kurtenbach wasn’t creating havoc, junior attacker Philip Buque kept the visiting Lions busy. Buque handed in seven points, scoring four goals and three assists followed by freshman attacker Tyler Eames who scored a hat-trick.
In goal, Thomas Tatarian earned 13 stops to improve his record between the pipes to 1-1.
Georgian Court (1-3) was paced by Ryder Verdoni who netted a hat-trick and picked up four ground balls. Three goalkeepers put in work for Georgian Court.
