St. Edward’s 2018 Logan Reimsnyder Commits to Keiser University!

Congratulations to Logan on his college choice and good luck in the future!   Name Logan Edward Wayne Reimsnyder High School Saint Edward’s School Graduation Year 2018 College Choice Keiser University Club Affiliations Team Maverick Why did you choose this college? I decided to choose Keiser because it offered all of the aspects of what I’m looking for in a college. The head lacrosse coach at Keiser reached out to me and even came out to watch some of my games. I built a solid relationship with him and the assistant coach. We organized a visit and it went very well. The campus was beautiful and very safe. Keiser had a very warming and modern environment that brought a strong athletic community together. The students and staff were very welcoming and excited about my arrival. The campus is very close to home and is small enough for me to get around and stay connected with my classes, athletics, and my community. Its career focused mentality grabbed my attention to further my major of Forensic Science. The athletic facilities were very well managed and provided with the best equipment and training needed. When I received the offer from Keiser University to play lacrosse I knew this was my moment to succeed in a new atmosphere.     What are your first memories of the sport? I went to my friend’s house, Payton Cleveland, and he lent me some starting gear and taught me the basics of catching and passing. I started playing lacrosse in 8th grade at Sebastian River Middle School. It was the team’s inaugural season. I remember leading the team in goals and that drove my excitement to keep competing through high school and college. When I transferred to Saint Edward’s to further my education and my lacrosse, I received a whole new look into lacrosse from the teaching of my coaches and fellow teammates. What part of the process was most surprising to you about the recruiting process and what would you like to pass on to those who are going to face it in the future? The most surprising thing to me about the recruiting process was the care and attention I received from some coaches who were eager for me to play for their college. I was provided a lot of support and guidance from college coaches who wanted me to succeed no matter where I went. It was great to know that some college coaches noticed the small things I did on the field that created impact plays. The one thing I would like to pass on to those who are going to face this process in the future is to always play your hardest. Give your absolute all on every play whether you are on or off the ball. Do the small things to create the big plays. You don’t always have to score or make big hits. Doing your job above and beyond like no one is watching can highlight your game tremendously. Apply this to the practice and game field. The more you sweat in practice, the less you bleed in battle. Who would you like to thank for helping you get here? First and foremost, I would like to thank God for allowing me to fight through the years and give me the ability to play at the collegiate level. In my failures and my successes, I will always give Him all the glory. I would then like to thank my family and friends for providing the support and love needed to better myself in this sport. The encouragement gave me the ability to persevere through struggling times. I then would like to thank my coaches and teammates who have helped mold my skill and athletic ability to be able to perform to my very best. The guidance and teaching I received from my teammates and coaches have helped me become a better team player and focus on my execution on the field.
