Congratulations to Caroline for her college choice and good luck in the future!
St. Thomas Aquinas High School
United States Naval Academy
Why did you choose this college?
The Naval Academy was always a top choice for me. In addition to playing lacrosse for such an outstanding program it will provide me with a high level education and excellent leadership skills. The women’s lacrosse team has won the Patriot League the last two years and playing for legendary Coach Timchal along with her accomplished coaches Gabby Capuzzi and Ally Messinger will be incredible!
What are your first memories of the sport?
I started playing lacrosse in 5th grade and loved it from the start. I loved the quickness of the game, practices, learning stick skills and mostly competing in games. I also met some great friends who I still play with today and who are also committed to play in college.
What part of the process was most surprising to you about the recruiting process and what would you like to pass on to those who are going to face it in the future?
The recruiting process was exciting but also very stressful at times. Being open minded about all schools, always playing my best and being positive got me through it.
Who would you like to thank for helping you get here?
I would like to thank my parents for all their love and support during this journey. For taking me to practices, games and traveling all over the country for camps and showcases. I would also like to thank other family and friends for all their support especially during the recruiting process. Lastly I would like to thank my coach John McClain who taught me everything that I have learned. He is a wonderful coach who taught me excellent stick skills, to be disciplined, to work hard and be positive on and off the field.
