Levy, a sophomore, led a Stetson attack which reached a season-high in goals on 36 shots. The win is the Hatters’ first of the season and improves their record to 1-5. What was a defensive battle in the first half, turned offensive after halftime. Each team managed just four goals in the game’s first 30 minutes, but the two sides combined for 18 goals in the final 30.   Riley Reagan, Levy and Maddie Holvey scored the first three goals of the second half to give Stetson a 7-4 lead. But the Blue Devils responded with three straight goals of their own, tying the game at seven. The Hatters then went on a run, scoring eight of the next nine goals, including three straight by Levy. When the dust settled the Hatters owned a 15-8 lead with 8:59 to play. Stetson dominated the draw, especially in the second half. The Hatters owned a 20-8 advantage in draws and won 13 of the 19 draws after halftime. Maddie Holvey had a program-record 10 draws, easily breaking the previous record of seven set by Lindsey Summers against Howard in 2016. Shelby Lehmann scored three goals for the Hatters while Holvey and Karli Maguire each scored twice. Reagan had three assists and Hallie Merz added two. Liza Diamond turned in yet another strong performance in goals, making eight saves. Megan Szawlowski led the Blue Devils (1-6) with five goals. The Hatters next host Vermont, Noon, Wednesday.
