The Maclay School is Looking For A New Varsity Boys Lacrosse Coach & Teacher

Author’s Note: Sponsored Advertisement   The Maclay School – an Independent College Prep School in Tallahassee, Florida – is seeking a Varsity Boys Lacrosse Coach for our school.  This position will also include a full time Teaching position in our Middle School or High School.  The teaching subject is TBD (NO PE!) and will also include a benefits package. Maclay School has an extremely successful athletic program and has been named the FHSAA 3A Private School of the Year multiple times in the past 15 years.  The Lacrosse team has also been very successful, winning the District title several times while also making it to the Elite Eight in the state playoffs.     The successful candidate should understand the cooperative nature of athletic success at an academically rigorous school and be a champion of a Multi-Sport Philosophy.  Excellent communication skills are necessary as this position will be an advocate for student engagement and a proactive partner with administration, teachers, and parents to ensure student engagement and team success. The ideal candidate will have a Master’s degree in an academic subject and a history of success in the classroom.  As a coach, they should also have a strong background in the sport as a player and as a coach and possess the ability to engage with players of all levels and ages (6th grade through 12 grade) The position has a start date of August 1, 2018 and is open until filled.  Serious candidates should contact the Director of Athletics, Jake von Scherrer at jvonscherrer@maclay.org.
