via UF press release   GAINESVILLE, Fla. – With Florida lacrosse’s 11th season on the horizon, the 2020 schedule has been announced by head coach Amanda O’Leary. The Gators have 17 regular season games scheduled during the 2020 campaign – including eight contests at Donald R. Dizney Stadium. UF has gone 90-21 (.811) at The Diz in the history of the program (spanning 10 seasons). During the 2019 season, the Gators will face 10 teams that made their way into the 2019 NCAA Tournament field: Colorado, Maryland, Loyola, Stony Brook, Dartmouth, High Point, Navy, UNC, Princeton, Jacksonville. Florida kicks off its 11th season at home, opening against the Colorado Buffs on Feb. 8th. The Gators opened their 2019 season against Colorado in Denver, topping the Buffs 16-9. UF then hits the road to face the defending national champions – the Maryland Terrapins – on Feb. 15. The Gators then return home to face Loyola on Feb. 29 before hitting the road for a matchup with Kennesaw State on Feb. 26. Florida then hits the road for a five-game stretch, beginning with Brown on March 14. The team then takes on UNC (March 21) and Princeton (March 24). The Gators are then slated to begin their second season in the American Athletic Conference, where they finished unbeaten a season ago – winning both the regular season conference championship and the conference tournament championship. AAC play kicks off with a March 28 meeting with ECU, then UF closes out the road trip against Vanderbilt on April 4. Florida returns home to face Temple on April 11 before getting right back on the road to face off against Cincinnati on April 18 in a rematch of the 2019 conference tournament championship game. UF pauses AAC action on April 22 when the team faces in-state rival Jacksonville at the Diz. Florida then closes out its regular season with a home contest against UConn. The Gators are slated to host the 2020 AAC Championship, with the semifinals set for Thursday, April 30. The championship game will take place on Saturday, May 2 and Donald R. Dizney Stadium.
