Colorado & Jacksonville face off in the first round on Friday; Gators take on winner of game 1 Sunday at Noon
Interactive NCAA Tournament Bracket GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The NCAA Tournament is back in Gainesville and First Round action between Colorado and Jacksonville is slated for 4 p.m. on Friday. No. 6-seeded Florida will face the First Round winner on Sunday at 12 p.m. at Donald R. Dizney Stadium. A livestream will be available for both games, with Ryan Urquhart and Gator lacrosse alumnus Annabeth Collins on the call. NCAA Tournament Round 1: Colorado vs. Jacksonville Friday’s matchup between Colorado and Jacksonville will be only the second meeting between the schools and first since 2014. The Gators faced both the Buffs and the Dolphins earlier this season, picking up both wins at home. A trip to the NCAA Quarterfinals awaits the winner of Sunday’s game and they will face the winner of No. 3-seeded James Madison, Stanford and Virginia Tech. Should both seeded teams win their games on Sunday, Florida will travel to James Madison. The Gators rank fourth nationally in both scoring offense (16.95/g) and scoring margin (+7.32/g). Lindsey Ronbeck is 15th in the NCAA in goals this season with 61, while Haley Hicklen is 22nd in save percentage (.486). Jacksonville finished 16-3 overall and 5-0 in conference play and earned an automatic bid to the tournament after winning the ASUN conference earlier in May. They defeated Coastal Carolina, 25-19. The Buffs earned an at-large bid to the tournament after falling in the Pac-12 Championship to Stanford. Colorado finished 13-5 overall and 9-1 in conference play.
