Wednesday’s contest will feature the eighth meeting between the Gators and Dolphins, with Florida currently owning a perfect 7-0 mark in the series. UF’s seven wins over Jacksonville are tied for the most over any opponent. The last time JU visited Gainesville in 2014, Shannon Gilroy’s seven goals led UF to a 21-5 victory.
Jacksonville enters Wednesday’s game after defeating Ohio State in overtime, 17-16, on Friday night.
Head Coach Amanda O’Leary:
“We’re looking forward to playing in a night game in front of our fans. It will be important for us to regain our focus after Sunday’s ending and come out of the gate prepared for a tough test against Jacksonville. They’re (Jacksonville) consistently an NCAA Tournament team and are very well-coached, so they’re going to come in here ready to give us a great game.”

In the nine-year history of Florida lacrosse, the Gators are a dominant 32-3 (.914) in night games (starting after 6 p.m.). The last time UF dropped a night contest was March 17, 2015 against Stony Brook.
