Stoneman Douglas Overcomes 4th-quarter Deficit to Capture Lacrosse District Title

Call it coincidence. Call it fate. For the Stoneman Douglas lacrosse team, it seemed perfectly fitting that Thursday night would play out the way it did at Calvary Christian.
In February, the Eagles came to Calvary Field at their lowest. It was just five days after the Parkland shooting that claimed the lives of 17 students and staffers and injured another 17.
With Stoneman Douglas still closed in the aftermath of the attack, the Fort Lauderdale private school offered up its facilities to the Eagles. For the teenagers, the healing process began that rainy night as the team
practiced for the first time since the shooting.
