Wiregrass Ranch 2018 Jeremy Handman Commits to Southern New Hampshire University!

Congratulations to Jeremy for his college commitment and good luck in the future!   Name Jeremy Handman High School Wiregrass Ranch Graduation Year 2018 College Choice Southern New Hampshire University Club Affiliations Florida National Team, West Florida Lacrosse, and Team Florida Why did you choose this college? I chose SNHU because of the connection I felt with the coaching staff. Most of my family is from New England. In fact, my Nana, Aunts, Uncles and cousins live within 1.5 hours of the University. So I am excited that they will all have an opportunity to see me play. I am a New England sports fan, so it really seemed to be the right fit for me. What are your first memories of the sport? I remember my very 1st goal in 2010 with my local youth team…Tampa Tribe. I remember always practicing after school to get better.. What part of the process was most surprising to you about the recruiting process and what would you like to pass on to those who are going to face it in the future? Exposure, Exposure, Exposure. You really have to be seen to actually play at the next level. You can have the best highlight tape, but that just gets you the interview. Ultimately coaches want to see you play live. Getting the right coaches….at the right time….from the right school is how you get to go where you want to go. You also have to be realistic about where you fit and at what level. Who would you like to thank for helping you get here? I would like to thank Coaches Chris Burdick, Matt Dugan, BrianLemon, and Eric Rosario. These coaches improved my game immensely. I would like to thank my brother Jeffrey Handman (also a D2 College player) for believing in me, helping me improve, critiquing me, and ultimately helping me get recruited. I would also like to thank my parents Eric and Stacey Handman for guiding me and being supportive in allowing me to follow my dream of playing College Lacrosse.
