AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Flagler College men’s lacrosse team was picked to finish in fourth place according to the preseason Peach Belt Conference Coaches’ Poll that was released this afternoon by conference officials. Drew Flagg was selected to the preseason all-conference team.

The Saints posted a 3-14 overall record and a 2-3 mark in the Peach Belt in their inaugural season of varsity lacrosse. Flagler won its first PBC Tournament game, 20-10 over Young Harris College at the Flagler Lacrosse Field.

Second-year head coach Brian Duncan returns nine starters, including Flagg.

Flagg, a sophomore midfield, was named the PBC’s co-Freshman of the Year in 2022. The Belleview, Florida native scored a team-high 28 goals and tallied 10 assists for 38 points. Flagg finished 10th in the conference in goals per game (1.65) and eighth in shots per game (5.94).

The Saints open the season at home on Feb. 1 against Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University at 7 p.m. The conference opener is March 25 against the University of Montevallo at noon at the Flagler Lacrosse Field.
