FLN Girls 2A Poll Top 10 – Week Ending 2/26/23!

Written by Lee Roggenburg on . Posted in , , , .

Class 2A in the Girls right now is kind of like shuffling the deck chairs by the pool. Not a LOT of difference between the teams, but a few have really played tough schedules early, so there’s some movement.

Hagerty started with ROAD GAMES at Vero, Bartram and Ponte Vedra, losing all three. They slip down but have plenty of games remaining to climb back up.

LHP and AH-Delray have swept their 2A opponents so far and Steinbrenner hasn’t faced either yet. Vero has already booked a number of big wins and Bartram is still scoring after graduation losses. St. Thomas gave LHP their best game so far but has a monster stretch coming up.

Sickles absorbed a tough Plant loss and needs to show against Newsome. Jupiter beat Boca Raton, but lost to South Fork, while Boca has rebounded well. Plant is lurking. Gulf Coast swept a two-game day yesterday.

Viera is at Vero Tuesday and it will be interesting to see how it plays out. Oviedo and East Ridge play tomorrow in one of those under-the-radar, sneakily important games.

Okay, here we go.

FLN Girls 2A Top Ten – Week Ending 2/26/23!

1) Steinbrenner (3-0) – big win over Plant; circle March 21st on your calendar as they travel to LHP

2) Vero Beach (5-1) – big wins already and one loss to LHP

3) Bartram Trail (3-1) – a loss to AH-Delray and they host STA on Saturday

4) St. Thomas (2-1) – gave LHP a run, just like last year

9) Newsome (4-0) – hard to get a read right now, but the schedule has plenty of games to show where they are
