via JU press release

Washington, D.C. – Jacksonville Men’s Lacrosse redshirt-sophomore Jacob Greiner was named as part of the second round of additions to the Tewaaraton Award Watch List on Friday.

Greiner’s strong start to the 2022 season earned him a spot on the list of the candidates for lacrosse’s most prestigious award, handed out annually to the top men’s and women’s lacrosse players in the nation.

Greiner leads the nation and has tied the program record for goals in single-season with 37, while also dishing out seven assists. The Exton, Pa. native also ranks 4th in the nation with 3.70 goals per game. Greiner has scored a hat trick on seven occassions this season, including six showings of 4+ goals.

Jacob joins fellow teammate Max Waldbaum and Women’s Lacrosse member Sarah Elms as Dolphins on the Watch List.

The Dolphins continue their homestand tomorrow, welcoming High Point to Rock Stadium to begin SoCon play. Opening faceoff is set for 12 PM and the contest can be watched live on ESPN+.
