JU: Men’s Lacrosse Travels to Duke Sunday

Durham, N.C. – The Jacksonville Men’s Lacrosse team heads north once again this Sunday to face the #2 ranked team in the nation, the Duke Blue Devils. 

WHO

JU (0-1, 0-0 SoCon) faces Duke for the 12th time in program history Sunday. Duke (2-0, 0-0 ACC) enters Sunday’s matchup after defeating Robert Morris (21-12) and Vermont (15-7) to begin their 2022 slate. 

LAST TIME OUT

The Dolphins kicked off their season last Saturday, as the Dolphins were defeated by #16 Johns Hopkins, 11-8. 

Max Waldbaum made the most of his Jacksonville and Division I debut, leading the Dolphins on the offensive side of play with four goals. Jacob Greiner chipped in with a hat trick of his own, and Jeremy Winston rounded out the scoring for JU with a fourth quarter goal.

Luke Millican earned the start between the pipes, having a career-high 17 saves. Saturday’s start for Millican was his first since Feb. 10, 2018 against Furman, while he was a member of North Carolina.
