No. 5 Keiser Women’s Lacrosse clinched their second consecutive Mid-South South Division Regular Season Championship on Friday with a 19-14 win over No. 7 Life.

First Quarter
Keiser 6, Life 3

  • Valeria Lomaglio kicked off the scoring for Keiser just before Talia Myers doubled up the advantage 20 seconds later to put KU up 2-0 with 12:39 on the clock.
  • Following a Running Eagles goal, Madison Andrews went on a 3-0 run to secure her hat trick and up the lead to 5-1 with 6:40 remaining.
  • Life would respond with consecutive goals to cut the lead to 5-3 in favor of Keiser with 3:46 left in the first.
  • Talia Myers would find the back of the net to give the Seahawks a 6-3 lead going into the second.

Second Quarter
Keiser 11, Life 7

  • Keiser would strike first in the second as Lena Finkelstein got on the board with 13:29 showing.
  • After a Running Eagles goal, Melanie Brown and Rachel McLaughlin both netted their firsts of the game to put Keiser up 9-4 with 11:09 on the clock.
  • The two sides would trade goals before Life would find back-to-back goals to cut the Seahawks’ lead to 10-7 with 4:14 left in the quarter.
  • McLaughlin would score her second goal and give Keiser an 11-7 lead heading into the half.
Third Quarter

Keiser 14, Life 12

  • Life would open the third quarter with a 4-0 run in just over four minutes to tie the game at 11-11.
  • McLaughlin would secure her hat trick before the Running Eagles would find the back of the net again to tie the game at 12-12 with 7:15 to play in the quarter.
  • Keiser would take advantage of penalties netting consecutive goals from Andrews and Mia Dyson to give the Seahawks a 14-12 lead going into the fourth.
Fourth Quarter

Keiser 19, Life 14

  • Two more man-up goals for Keiser would start the fourth as McLaughlin and Andrews would extend the Seahawks’ lead to 16-12 with 10:41 left.
  • Life would not go down easy, scoring two goals to cut the lead down to 16-14 at the 8:27 mark.
  • Andrews would tack on her sixth of the game with 7:32 to play in the fourth.
  • Chloe Foley added a little more insurance at the 6:37 mark with her fifth of the season to push the KU lead to 17-14.
  • With 3:43 to play, Hayley Frew scored the final goal of the contest giving Keiser a 19-14 victory.

  • 3: With three assists, Brown led Keiser in the category.
  • 3: Hannah Reeder led Keiser in caused turnovers on the afternoon with three.
  • 4: Entering in relief, Stacey Marcelin made four saves and picked up her second win in net.
