This Weekend’s Schedule for FLN
First, sorry the latest episodes of Who’s In/Out on VSN haven’t aired yet. SSAC Championships are taking precedence on the network the last few days.
Trust me when I say the shows are worth watching with the narrow margins in many regions.
It does look like FHSAA included Monday’s results in the District playoff seedings, which made a difference between Osceola and Berkeley Prep, but the FHSAA is not changing anything now.
Those who watch the show should know it was taped before the suspension of Stoneman and West Broward, which will lead to a very possible situation in Region 4, 2A Boys, where a potential 5-11 Boca Raton will knock off Spanish River in the District and garner a #4 seed in the Region, and a home game versus either Western or Wellington.
Speaking of home games, there is still confusion about hosting in the FHSAA bracket. I sent an email which has not been responded to, asking this simple question:
The coaches are assuming that #1-4 seeds in the region are hosting the first round, but after the first round is it higher seed or is it back to the old upper line/lower line format?
Still no answer . . . PLEASE GAINESVILLE, GET THE ANSWER OUT!
We’ll not bother with Polls this week, since regular season ending isn’t very relevant with the District playoffs starting Monday. We’ll spend the time getting the District brackets up so you can see how a Region will play out. We’ll group the bracket article by Region and then Boys/Girls.
Today, we’ll also try to get all the college press releases behind us, so the next week is full high school coverage!
We also have an incredible night last night in Boca to cover as the two #1’s put on a show, and the atmosphere was ELECTRIC.
