Men’s Lacrosse Gets Powerful Home Win versus Montreat

Keiser men’s lacrosse got back in the win column today with a convincing victory at home versus Montreat. The Seahawks led for the whole game, and logged their third game of the season with 20+ goals. 

First Quarter
Keiser 10, MC 1

Second Quarter
Keiser 17, MC 2

  • Prather began the second quarter with an unassisted goal with 14:02 remaining.
  • James MacGilvray scored three minutes later with an assist from Cerasuolo. 
  • MacGilvray found the net again shortly afterward with an assist from Matt Sheehy
  • Cerasuolo scored with a JP Prather assist with 8:54 on the clock. 
  • Rundle scored again at the 8:19 mark with a Logan Dujon assist. 
  • After four scoreless minutes, Matt Sheehy got an unassisted goal. 
  • Montreat’s Grayson Scott broke the scoring run with a goal at the 2:13 mark. 
  • Prather scored the final goal of the half with a Niemy assist at the :51 second mark. 
Third Quarter

Keiser 22, MC 5

  • AJ Badik opened the second half with a goal at the 11:59 mark. 
  • MC answered with a goal three minutes later. 
  • Rundle scored with a Niemy assist with 6:58 left in the quarter. 
  • In response, the Cavaliers got two goals in twenty seconds. 
  • Prather found the net unassisted with 2:55 on the clock. 
  • KU got two goals in the final ten seconds of the quarter from Badik and Rundle respectively. 
Fourth Quarter

Keiser 23, MC 8

  • Montreat went on a 3-0 scoring run from 11:38-6:03. 
  • Cerasuolo scored the last goal of the game with :47 left in the contest, with Niemy providing the assist. 
KU Highlights
  • Keiser outshot MC 67-23. 
  • KU caused 17 Cavalier turnovers.  
  • Chris Rayburn led the way at the faceoff X, going 17-20. 
  • The Seahawks went 10-11 on clears. 
  • Keiser picked up 49 groundballs. 
  • Lucas Green was credited with three saves.
  • AJ Badik has now surpassed 100 career points. 
  • Vincent Cerasuolo is two goals away from the most career goals in program history.
