Warner Women’s Lacrosse Stay Hot Defeating The Saints At Home

LAKE WALES, FL- The Royals looked to to remain hot as they searched for their sixth win of the season as they faced off against the Siena Heights Saints.
The Royals found themselves trailing early on 2 to zero but were quickly able to find their momentum and keep it for the duration of the match. Bailey Dykes would score three times in the first quarter as well as Vanessa Lynch scoring twice in the first quarter. The Royals would remain persistent in the second quarter as Abby Petrillo would score following an assist from Monserrat Anaya-Lopez for her first goal of the game. Dykes would remain aggressive throughout the second quarter as she would be left open for three unassisted goals. Leading by a score of 9 to 5 after the first half, the Royals looked to stay aggressive against the Saints. With 13:23 on the clock, Lynch would score an unassisted goal starting things off for the Royals in the second half. Dykes would score again with 9:37 on the clock as she stayed getting great looks throughout this matchup. The Saints would continue to battle back as the score would be 12 to 9 in favor of the Royals heading into the fourth quarter. Dykes would start off the scoring for the Royals in the fourth, recording her ninth goal of the matchup. Petrillo would score three times in the fourth quarter, one via an assist from Lily Proctor giving the Royals a strong 16 to 11 lead as time would run out giving the Royals their sixth win of the season. The Royals for their third straight win in a row as they face off against Bethel University on March 6th at 5:00 PM.
