The Tars will be the fourth seed in the South Region

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (May 7, 2023) – The Rollins women’s lacrosse team, ranked eighth in the latest ILWomen/IWLCA Poll, received an at-large bid as the No. 4 seed in the South Region of the NCAA II Women’s Lacrosse Tournament, as announced by the NCAA on Sunday evening. The Tars will travel to SSC rival Tampa for the tournament and will face the host and top-seeded Spartans on Friday, May 12, in the first round.

The Tars finished the regular season 15-3 overall and 5-2 in conference. Rollins’ only defeats came at the hands of Tampa and Florida Southern, with the Mocs getting the better of the Tars both in the regular season and in the semifinals of the SSC Tournament. Rollins will look to avenge its 17-7 loss to the Spartans, which happened on April 15 in Tampa.

If the Tars knock off Tampa in the first round, they will advance to the South Region Championship to face the winner of second-seeded Florida Southern and third-seeded Flagler. Those two teams will face off following the Rollins-Tampa contest on May 12, also in Tampa, and the South Region Championship will take place at Tampa on Sunday, May 14 at noon.
