Saint Leo Men: Nine Goal Third Quarter Highlights Another Home Victory for the Lions

SAINT LEO, Fla. – The Saint Leo men’s lacrosse team earned its second straight victory coming from behind in 16-14 win over the Alabama-Huntsville Sunday afternoon inside University Turf Stadium. Down 6-3 at the half, the Lions offensive sticks came alive with nine goals in the third quarter to victory. The second half surge was fueled by Guy Bistrow with three goals in 10 minutes and helped by back-to-back goal by Timothy D’antunono. The non-conference tally in the win column improved the Green and Gold’s overall record to 2-1 while the Chargers’ record drop to 3-2.
 
Guy Bistrow served up eight points netting five goals and three assists. Meanwhile, teammate Reece Hrycan found the back of the net five times and tallied an assist for six points. Timothy D’antunono got in the mix and broke out a hat-trick and an assist for a four points.
 
Michael Flores had another tremendous game at the face. The sophomore from Apopka, Fla. won 19-of-32 (.593) faceoff attempts.
 
In the net, Evan Hock earned nine saves in 60 minutes for his second win of his career.
 
On Friday, March 4 the Lions are set to travel to Wilson, N.C. to face Barton at 4:00 p.m.
