Saint Leo Releases 2022 Men’s Lacrosse Schedule

SAINT LEO, Fla. – The Saint Leo men’s lacrosse team released its 2022 schedule under the direction of 17th-year head coach, Brad Jorgensen. Jorgensen and his coaching staff made up of assistant coach and program alumni, Chad Marino, and Connor Grippe, a product of Stony Brook’s lacrosse program, has slatted 15-games for the Spring. The Green and Gold will open the season on Saturday, February 12 against Limestone in Savannah, Ga. in a neutral site contest inside Daffin Park.
The Saint Leo Lions will make their 2022 debut at University Turf Stadium on Friday, February 18 at 7:00 p.m. hosting the Montevallo Falcons. That Friday night game under the lights marks the first of nine faceoffs at home.
The schedule has a competitive lineup featuring seven South Region programs outside of the Sunshine State Conference (SSC). The lone out of region game prepares the stage for Frostburg State and Saint Leo on Sunday, March 20 in Saint Leo, Fla.
The Lions will open the SSC schedule in back-to-back action on the road. Saint Leo will be hosted by the Florida Tech Panthers on Saturday, March 26. One week later, on Sat., April 2, Saint Leo will head to West Palm Beach, Fla. to faceoff against the Sailfish of Palm Beach Atlantic.
Wednesday, April 6 marks the team’s SSC home opener as the Lions will welcome the Florida Southern Moccasins to University Turf Stadium, starting at 7:00 p.m.
Saint Leo will also host SSC foes Tampa on Wednesday, April 13 at Rollins on Saturday, April 16.
