Saint Leo Women: Lions Put out Flames in Confident Midweek Victory

SAINT LEO, Fla – The No. 22 Saint Leo Lions had a dominant performance on Tuesday night as they defeated Lee University 17-6 inside University Turf StadiumFiona McLaughlin was on fire, scoring five goals on six shots. The impressive performance moved the Green and Gold to 3-4 on the year while the Flames are also now 3-4 after this road loss.

Saint Leo led the charge all night, outscoring the Flames 14-4 in the first three quarters. Maria Palomba earned 12 draw controls and tallied three ground balls.

Makayla Goetz picked up another win in the crease, as the freshman goalkeeper picked up 10 saves in a solid showing.
