Strength of the lacrosse program, as well as the awesome athletic facilities and campus. The community is very impacted by lacrosse, and the players are very dedicated and nice. The coaching staff is clearly committed to the program and the players and very experienced. What Advice Would You Give Those Starting the Recruiting Process? Make sure you get a feel for the campus and what the people there are like. Make early and frequent contact with the coaching staff. Keep your stats and your highlight videos up to date. Make the coaches aware of what tournaments and showcases you are attending. It can be a pretty stressful process, but these coaches do this for a living and will make it as stress-free as they can. Who Would You Like to Thank for Getting You to Here? My mom Kathy Savage My dad David Savage Sister Lauren Savage Coach Doug Bailey and the entire Saint Ed’s coaching staff Coach Shayne Rye Coach Ebe Helm and Jason Christmas Coach Rip Pratt Saint Edward’s Teachers What are your first memories of the sport? Playing at an old polo field called Point West which had hardly any grass. It was mostly dirt and mud. What is Your Favorite Memory From Your High School Career? I scored the overtime game-winner in the regional finals to send the team to the state championship. What is Your Stick Brand? And Why? DNA head- not much flex and does not break easily. Maverik Mission Black shaft- One solid color, fairly light, and durable. Hero 3.0 mesh- Soft mesh has always been my favorite, and these strings haven’t popped on me once. Which Lacrosse Player Do You Most Want to Have a Meal With and Why? Matt Rambo because I would want to hear what his youth and high school process was like with The Dukes Club and see how it is different today. Do You Watch College & Pro Games and What Are You Watching for to Make You a Better Player? One-on-one dodges and how they react to a slide and or a double team. What’s Your Go-To Meal After a Game?
