Men’s Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week

Andrew Milani – Tampa
Grad Student – Attack – Catonsville, Maryland

Milani grabs Offensive Player of the Week for the second time in 2024 after leading Tampa in victories over Saint Leo (16-7) and No. 13 Seton Hill (14-8). At Saint Leo, the Catonsville, Maryland native tallied game highs in points (8) and goals (7). He also scooped six ground balls and caused a turnover. The graduate student followed with five goals in the Top-15 matchup against Seton Hill at a neutral site. His 12 goals last week came on 23 total shots and 20 shots on goal for a .870 shot-on-goal percentage.

Men’s Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week

Luca Mercaldo – Tampa
Sophomore – Goalkeeper – Baltimore, Maryland

Mercaldo picks up Defensive Player of the Week for the second time in 2024 following his performance in victories over Saint Leo (16-7) and No. 13 Seton Hill (14-8). The Baltimore native tallied nine saves and seven goals allowed in net at Saint Leo. Mercaldo then tallied 11 saves and nine goals allowed in the neutral site victory against Seton Hill. Mercaldo averaged 8.14 goals against for the week, with a .556 save percentage, while facing 61 total shots.

Men’s Lacrosse Specialist of the Week

Camren Santos – Lynn
Junior – FOS – Woodbine, Maryland

Santos is the Specialist of the Week for his 0.694 faceoff percentage across Lynn’s wins against Palm Beach Atlantic (12-10) and Florida Tech (11-9). To start the week, the senior won 17-of-25 faceoffs and picked up a game-high 10 groundballs against PBA. Against Florida Tech, the Woodbine, Maryland native won 17-of-24 faceoffs, tallied a game-high seven groundballs, and added an assist.

Women’s Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week

Sophi Wrisk – Tampa
Junior – Midfield – Baltimore, Maryland

Wrisk takes Offensive Player of the Week honors for her role in Tampa’s wins at No. 13 Lynn (10-9) and No. 17 Rollins (17-11). The junior from Baltimore began the week with two goals and a draw control in the overtime victory at Lynn. She followed with a game-high eight points following three goals and a career-high five assists in the win at Rollins. The midfielder also caused a turnover in the win against the Tars.

Women’s Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week

Alex Walling – Tampa
Grad Student – Goalkeeper – San Diego, California

Walling garners Defensive Player of the Week accolades for her performance in Tampa’s wins at No. 13 Lynn (10-9) and No. 17 Rollins (17-11). The San Diego native recorded 11 saves and allowed nine goals in the overtime win at Lynn. Against Rollins, she tallied 15 saves and allowed 11 goals while grabbing a pair of ground balls. Walling faced while facing 58 total shots last week and registered a .565 save percentage and 10.62 goals against average. The weekly award is the third of her career.
