Men’s Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week

Charlie Bolesh – Tampa
Grad Student – Midfield – Syracuse, New York

Bolesh is tabbed Offensive Player of the Week after leading Tampa to a 16-11 victory over No. 5 Rollins. The Syracuse, New York native scored three times, twice unassisted, and added an assist for four total points. Bolesh also provided the Spartans with three groundballs in the win. His three goals came from five total shots and four shots on goal. 

Men’s Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week

Michael Simone – Florida Southern
Senior – Goalkeeper – Smithtown, New York

Simone earns Defensive Player of the Week for the second time in 2024 following his performance in goal in wins against No. 17 Colorado Mesa (13-12) and Palm Beach Atlantic (18-7). The senior from Smithtown, New York, totaled 19 saves and allowed 12 goals in the win over CMU. He then stopped 15 shots while allowing seven goals against PBA. For the week, he registered a .642 save percentage while facing 79 total shots. Additionally, Simone picked up seven ground balls combined in the victories.

Men’s Lacrosse Specialist of the Week

Alex Poma – Tampa
Grad Student – FOS – Marietta, Georgia

Poma earns Specialist of the Week for the third time in 2024 after leading Tampa to a 16-11 victory over No. 5 Rollins. The grad student from Marietta, Georgia, won 19-of-28 face-offs in the win for a .679 winning percentage. Poma also gave the Spartans a game-high 10 groundballs and an goal in the win. This latest weekly award marks the fourth in his career.


Women’s Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week

Rebecca Clark – Lynn
Sophomore – Midfield – Abington, Pennsylvania

Clark collects Offensive Player of the Week with her performance in Lynn’s 15-10 win at No. 8 Flagler. The Abington, Pennsylvania product scored a game-high four goals, including the game-winner, off eight total shots and five shots on goal. Clark also won a game-high seven draw controls and caused a turnover in the Fighting Knights’ victory. This latest weekly award marks the third in her career.

Women’s Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week

Lily Thornewill – Rollins
Grad. Student – Defender – Louisville, Kentucky

Thornewill earns Defensive Player of the Week for her performance in Rollins’ win against Florida Tech. The graduate student from Louisville, Kentucky, caused six turnovers in the contest, leading all players. She also tallied a team-high five groundballs in the 14-10 Tars victory.
