#1 Tampa Take Care of Flagler with Ease
TAMPA, Fla. – The No. 1 ranked University of Tampa Spartans men’s lacrosse started off their No.1 campaign with a comfortable win over Flagler University.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
FIRST QUARTER
Tampa would not waste any time to get on the scoreboard as Luke McAnaney would connect with Owen Miller to get Tampa on the board first in the quarter. As it would be all Tampa this quarter, as Daniel Fitzpatrick would end the quarter off with a solo goal to give the Spartans a solid lead.

SECOND QUARTER
The Spartans would take many shots throughout the majority of the quarter, failing to capitalize off of any of these shots. Flagler would get on the board for the first time while Tampa would struggle to find the back of the net. Until a Harry Kilkowski goal would give the Spartans a surge with three goals coming in the final two minutes of the half.

THIRD QUARTER
The Spartans would keep their foot on the gas as they would score four goals in quick succession, putting this game simply out of reach. A man up opportunity would see Ethan Paduch get his second goal of the game and end the Spartans scoring run in the third.

The fourth quarter would be much of the same, however the Spartans would put some new faces on the field. As EJ Charpentier would get his first goal of the season, as Flagler would get a few goals of their own. It was just too much from Tampa early on for a chance of a comeback for the Saints.

Saints gain valuable experience at #1 Tampa
TAMPA, Fla – Justin LaBanz scored his first collegiate goal as Flagler College suffered a non-conference setback Tuesday afternoon at No. 1 University of Tampa, 6-17, at Naimoli Family Athletic Complex.
The Saints fall to 0-9, but this contest provides the young team valuable experience as they gear up for Peach Belt Conference play next Saturday when Young Harris College comes to the Ancient City. The Spartans continue their perfect season, improving to 8-0.
The Spartans scored the first five goals to open up a lead that they would never surrender. Colten Reynolds got the Saints on the board with 9:10 minutes left. Tampa responded with an eight-goal run of its own to open up a 13-2 lead midway through the third quarter.
At the end, Flagler got goals from Ty Tom, Geraint Shaw, two from Dylan Wilson and LaBanz.
Flagler returns to Flagler Lacrosse Field for its final non-conference game on Friday when No. 20 Colorado Mesa University for an 11 a.m. contest.
