District Preview Questionnaires Going Out This Week!

Last season many of our readers will remember that we were not able to put together the District Preview series that has proven so popular each year for the Boys’ teams. We want to make sure that doesn’t happen again this year and are reaching out to our readership to help us get back on track!
First, I know that we are not going to be able to do this for the Girls’ teams too but we are still at a point in our growth where resources are limited so please understand our political incorrectness and we hope to find the person in the future who can help to fill in our gap on the Girls’ side . . . there are about 190 varsity Boys’ teams playing this year over 32 Districts and I only have so many hours to dedicate to this.
We have prepared the Questionnaire to send out and we are asking for some help in supplying the names of head coaches, their emails and cell numbers for the teams. We have approached a number of people already to help but just as a backup, I would appreciate it if each high school team would have a parent or player send in their player’s coaches contact info to me at lee@floridalacrossenews.com. I’d rather be inundated tomorrow with submissions than have to make a number of phone calls to schools the next few days.
Usually, the web site LaxPower would have already loaded the team schedules, which would include the coach’s names, but they have not been able to finalize the data uploads yet so I am going to take no chances and ask for them directly here from you. Don’t assume that because the team is a ‘big name’ in the high school ranks that I have up to date info. Better for me to just say Thank You to many emails instead!
As I get a full District set I’ll send out the Questionnaires to the District Coaches and I hope you can turn them around by the weekend at the latest, and earlier if possible, to give me enough time to finish the Previews for publication before my Preseason Top 20 that is currently scheduled for February 18th publication.
For those coaches out there who read this please email me directly and I’ll send you the Word Document directly.
Thank you to all for your help and we all are looking forward to a great 2018 season!
