Babson Park, FL – The Nationally Ranked Webber International University Men’s Lacrosse team has announced two new additions to its coaching staff for the 2025 season. Coming from the field to the sideline, former Warriors Chase Jackson, Steven Landsman, and Joshua Cargile will be joining Head Coach Chris Burdick this year.
Jackson joins the program as an assistant in a full-time capacity after one of the most prolific scoring careers that the NAIA has ever seen. A member of the 300+ point club, the two-time NAIA All-American brings not only his pedigree as a college player but also his headship as a former 4x team captain to the staff.
“Coach Jackson’s understanding of the game of lacrosse, from dogging, to shooting and feeding to larger concepts of attacking and manipulating team defense will make him an outstanding addition for our staff,” commented Warrior Head Coach Chris Burdick.
“Chase’s commitment to the program is well documented by his career and his motivation to connect with and attract high level offensive talent to the program in the recruiting side will be extremely impactful.”
About his new role Jackson added, “I am excited for the new opportunity. It will take some time to get used to coaching the guys I was just going to war with for past few years. However, I plan to take the same approach which is to lead by example and push guys to be their very best in all aspects of the game of lacrosse.”
Also joining the Warriors as the team’s new Graduate Assistant is four-year starter and team captain Steven Landsman. Landsman joins the staff after a standout career as the Warriors defensive midfielder where he drew the assignment of covering the other team’s top midfield dodger as well as leading the program as a captain his senior year.
According to Burdick, “Coach Landsman is a true leader in all aspects of the word. The example he has set both on and off the field with his work ethic, his commitment to family and his faith are all admirable qualities that all our players look up to. A very warm and engaging personality, Steven will be helpful in the recruiting of talented defensive players to our program.”
About his new position Landsman added, “It’s going to be a transition from fifteen years of playing and now going to the other side of the whistle as a coach. I always worked to have a big impact on the team as a player on the field and I’m excited to see what I can bring to the guys now in my new role as a coach.”
Another addition to the Warriors’ Staff will be Joshua Cargile. Cargile comes to the sideline after a four-year career from the Midfield Face-off position. Cargile got the starting nod in his senior season, winning 52% of his faceoff chances in 16 games.
Jackson, Landsman, and Cargile will bring a wealth of experience to the Warrior Men’s Lacrosse program and will be catalysts for the next era of Webber Lacrosse.
Webber is coming off two consecutive trips to the NAIA National Invitational Semifinals. One of the fastest growing programs in the nation, the Warriors have won 10+ game in three of their first four seasons.
Webber looks to rebuild after a large graduating class of the initial players from the first year of the program graduated in 2024. Players interested in contacting our staff can use the link below to complete a player recruit profile to have a coaching staff member reach out to them.
