Women’s Lacrosse Earns Four All-Conference; Johnson Named Coach of the Year

MIAMI, Fla. (April 24, 2023) – The Sun Conference released its women’s lacrosse all-conference selections and specialty award winners. Head Coach Destinee Johnson was named Coach of the Year and four Warriors earned all-conference honors.
 
Coach Johnson was named the first-ever Sun Conference Coach of the Year for women’s lacrosse. She led the Warriors to a winning record for the first time in the program’s young three-year history with a regular-season record of 8-5. Webber also ended the season just outside the NAIA Coaches Top-10 Poll, receiving 40 votes.
 
Sophomore Bryce Gerber was selected to the First-Team All-Sun Conference team after leading the Warriors offensively in goals (73), assists (38), and points (111). She was Webber’s go-to offensive playmaker as she set single season records for all three of the previous categories.
 
Jordyn Davidson was selected to the Second-Team All-Sun Conference team. The junior-goalie started 13 out of 14 games for the Warriors and racked up a total of 159 saves and set a career-best in save percentage at 50.5.
 
Both Kaitlyn Patterson and Madison Hamilton were named Honorable Mention All-Conference. Patterson was the Warriors second-highest scorer, totaling 41 goals and adding seven assists as well. Hamilton ended the season with the third-most points on the team with 37. She netted 23 times and contributed with a team-high 66 draw controls in total for the season.
