AUGUSTA, Ga. – Flagler College midfielder Logan Tobias was selected as the Peach Belt Conference’s Men’s Lacrosse Player of the Week as released by conference officials on Monday.
This is the second time in the last three weeks that a Flagler player has received the league’s weekly honor (Antanas Mikuzis, April 10).
Tobias scored four goals and added an assist as Flagler defeated The University of Alabama in Huntsville, 13-12, to capture the No. 2 seed for the PBC Tournament and serve as one of the two host sites. The Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania native took 16 total shots in the game, eight of those on goal and four of which found the net. Tobias scored the game-tying goal with 6:51 to play that sent the game into overtime. He also added two ground balls. Tobias is currently ninth in the PBC in goals per game and sixth in shots per game.
Flagler hosts the winner of the Shorter University-University of Montevallo game on Sunday at 4 p.m. at the Flagler Lacrosse Field.
